I owe avon money and they said they will arrest me. is that possible?

They called and left me a voicemail saying i needed a lawyer and to call them back asap. When i did she said that if i do payments i will be fine but i cant afford the payments. She said the first time i miss a payment i will have a cop at my door is that possible???
